Siberian Cocklebur Fruit (Cang er zi)
Cangerzi is the dried fruit of Xanthium sibiricum Patr.with nvolucre,pertaining to Asteraceae.It is collected in fall when the seed becomes ripe.The stem and leaf as well as other impurities are removed.It is stir-baked to remove the thorn for medical purpose.
Medicinal Properties: Pungent,bitter and warm. Toxic.
Meridian Tropism: Lung meridian.
Medicinal Efficacies: Dispel cold,release superficies; open nose;dispel wind, resolve dampness;stop pain.
Usage and Dosage: 3-9g. Also it is used in pills or powder.
