Muzei is the dried above ground part of Equisetum hiemale L.,pertaining to Equisetaceae.It is collected in summer and fall.After the impurities are removed,it is sun dried or dried in the shade.The raw form is used.

Medicinal Properties:Sweet,bitter and neutral.

Meridian Tropism:Lung and liver meridians.

Medicinal Efficacies: Disperse wind-heat;improve vision and remove nebula.

Usage and Dosage: 3-9g.
